GROUNDING

Fosters kinetic sculptures obstinately occupy space; their facets creating dynamic light-dependent surfaces, with shifting shadows, and movement on the breeze, augmenting the experience of our surroundings.

Grounding is a contemporary piece and Foster’s most recent kinetic exploration. Using an abstract faceted approach, Foster reduces the form to the sparest of surfaces.

The smooth polygon exterior, obscures the complexity of the interior structure. The engineered double bearing interior allows this impeccably counter balanced work to move perfectly in the wind, with the sculpture gently rotating on the slightest breeze.
