FEAR DIMINISHING

This concept relates to an increasingly endangered set of species, illustrated by a diminishing scale. These sculptures set out to communicate visually, the depletion of a population, much like a data based scientific graph. The form reads from left to right, like a timeline. On the left, sharks are at their most abundant, sliding towards a progressive decline. The sense of scale at the smallest level, highlights their current state of fragility - a form which sits within the palm of one’s hand.
